Mr. Wagenaar

Where are you from? I was born in and raised by Sheldon, Iowa.
Tell us about your family. Married to Glenda, who works at the SCS Thrift Store, for 34 years; four children, Trevor (28), Dordt/Ag-Business, agronomist at Nutrien; Danika (25) married to Manny and now have grandson, Titus, St Luke's Nursing School, R.N. at Kadlec Hospital; Luke (22), finishing college at NNU; Cole (17), Grade 12 at SCS.
What was your school like growing up? Very similar to SCS, except much larger. Athletics/academics were very competitive. The mindset at school was that education was an opportunity and a student either took advantage of the opportunity or did not.
Why do you like to teach? I like to learn, I like kids, I feel directed by God to lead young people!
What do you like to do when you're not teaching? Coaching, working outside at home, hiking, four-wheeling, learning and honing a Biblical worldview, reading, watching college football and basketball.
What is your favorite Bible verse? Many passages but Romans 12 is certainly a favorite.
