Mrs. Westerhoff

Welcome to my classroom! Here's some information to help you get to know me.

An Oregonian through and through, I grew up in the Portland area and got my teaching degree at OSU. Prior to coming to Sunnyside, I also taught at a Christian school in the Columbia River Gorge, an area famous for its dense forests, beautiful waterfalls, and windy highways. As a licensed educator with five years of teaching experience, including at the middle and high school level, I look forward to using my skills to teach students and serve the Kingdom in Sunnyside.

In addition to teaching, I enjoy many personal hobbies, including baking, running, playing guitar, and reading for fun. I also have a background in musical theater that will probably come out in my classroom at times. Be prepared for me to briefly burst into song :)

My favorite Bible verse in Psalm 16:2, because it reminds me that, whether my day has been good or bad, all my good comes from God: "I said to the LORD, 'You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.'"
