I come from Elkton, Michigan, where I grew up on my family's small dairy farm.  I attended Dordt College where I received a degree in Elementary Education and Social studies in May 2009.  While attending Dordt, I completed two months of my student teaching in SCS's fourth grade class with Mrs. Long.  Throughout this time I saw again how very important a solid God-centered Christian Education is for all students in their development.  In seeing how SCS pursues and accomplishes this I see this as an opportunity to help expand the students' God-given talents to higher levels.
