  • News regarding the upcoming 2021-22 school year.

  • Update to Re-opening Plan 4/12/21

    The Task Force recommended and the School Board approved amending the SCS Reopening Plan consistent with CDC guidelines and State of Washington executive orders allowing for 3 feet of social distancing rather than the previous 6 feet.

  • The Task Force updated a section of the policy regarding quarantine length.

  • Mr. Van Beek has released this letter to parents in light of the latest state restrictions and the upcoming holidays.

  • Letter from Dean Wagenaar - Oct 8

  • The Elementary Campus will continue with distance learning the week of Nov 2-6.  The High School Campus will remain open, however there will be no bus service while the Elementary Campus is closed.  Click for more details.

  • The Elementary school will be participating in distance learning Wednesday Oct 28 through Friday Oct 30.  See attached letter from Brad Van Beek.

  • Due to two positive tests we are closed at both locations on Oct. 26 while we determine further action.  Mr. Van Beek has published this letter with details.

  • The K-8th grade supply list as of 8/6/2020.  Please be aware that this list coordinates with our reopening plan.  If and when we return to a normal schedule, it may change slightly.  We also realize that not all items are readily available.  We simply ask parents to do their best in providing these items.

    Both school buildings will be closed until further notice. This week's K-8 packet pick up is canceled. 9-12 Students will continue to be instructed through Microsoft Teams as high school teachers put forth their best efforts to work from home. 

  • High School Chromebooks Available

    Just a reminder if you are in high school and need a better computer at home during this digital instruction period, we still have plenty of chromebooks to lend out.  Contact the school for a morning pick-up time.

  • The High School will be using Microsoft Teams to continue instruction during the state-mandated closure.  Mrs. Haak has prepared a tutorial video for all high school students to assist them in getting started with Teams.

    We would like to keep our families informed that there was a K-12 staff meeting this morning and numerous ideas were discussed on how to proceed regarding the school closure.  No definite decisions have been made.  There is a Board meeting tonight to discuss these different options and the teachers will gather again tomorrow morning to determine the best method of implementation.
    We will update you again tomorrow after these meetings have transpired.
