Mr. Gorter taught AP Calculus at SCHS for two years as a class for seniors. Now Calculus is offered for seniors to take independently alongside Pre-Calculus. Students that have done this and found that it benefitted them in college. Some have taken the AP Calculus AB exam and therefore didn't need to take a introductory Calculus class in college. Others did not take the AP exam but found college Calculus easier due to their efforts.
